Guaynabo The City The Conquistadors
Less than twenty-five minutes from Casa Clara Vista, the suburban enclave of Guaynabo is often overlooked by visitors to the metropolitan area. Tucked between between Bayamon and San Juan, it is often barely noticed, camouflaged as it is by urban sprawl . However, overlooking this diverse municipality would be a mistake. Home of the Caparra ruins (which was the first capital of Puerto Rico) Ponce de Leon may have been interred at the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista, but his personal estate was in Guaynabo. Whether it's history, shopping, business, cable cars or a view; the surprising city of Guaynabo is worth exploring.
